BailSco's Cast Aluminum V-belt Sheaves

Produced as a specialty product to meet a demand, BailSco's cast aluminum v-belt sheaves have captured the imagination of engineers who are faced with unusual conditions such as aggressive atmospheres, weight requirements, and installation problems. Now in the field for over ten years, BailSco's sheaves can be produced from small diameter driver sheaves up to a driven sheave of 38" in pitch diameter. Since BailSco is an intergrated facility, the sheave design, mold manufacturing, casting, machining, heat treating, and balancing are all done "in-house".

In the ever changing worlds of engineering and manufacturing, BailSco continues to lead the field in innovative ideas relative to producing high quality sheaves. This includes the availability of professional experts in the field of vibration, natural frequency, and casting design. Using Finite Element Analysis techniques, the sheave design has been studied to reduce weight and improve the design prior to producing the patterns.
